Computer Amnesty at Guildford Action Furniture Project!
Environmentally conscious IT company, Red IT Solutions Ltd is teaming up with Guildford Borough Council and Guildford Action Furniture Project to hold a Computer Amnesty. The event gives Guildford residents, schools and businesses the opportunity to recycle their old computer equipment for FREE, safe in the knowledge that all data will be completely destroyed by specialist data destruction experts. The machines which are still useable will be donated to good causes in the UK such as charities that support homeless people. Older machines will be recycled to reduce the amount of non-biodegradable waste which ends up in landfill. The Computer Amnesty will take place over the weekend of Friday 25th and Saturday 26th June from 10am to 4pm at Guildford Action Furniture Project, Jacobs Yard, Woodland Road |
To recycle, refurbish and re-use donated furniture and appliances to reduce landfill, avoid waste, help disadvantaged people and provide positive work opportunities.
